أَراحَ \ comfort: to cheer (a sad person). relieve: to take sth. from sb.: The servant relieved me of my bag and carried it to my room. A new guard relieved the old one (took his place so that he could go and rest). rest: to cause (sth.) to rest: He rested his legs (or his horse).
